This piece, created in the summer of 2018, explores the overwhelming sensation of being consumed by one’s own thoughts, whether stemming from clinical anxiety or everyday struggles. The person depicted is literally drowning, surrounded by self-deprecating words—a visual representation of how negative inner dialogue can feel suffocating. If you look closely, a reflection of a person appears in the water, adding a layer of introspection and depth to the piece.
