Materials:

this piece is made from three street-found ceramic and stainless steel pots with an original acrylic portrait painting.

Artist's statement:
The three pots symbolize the number 3, a universal representation of nature that embodies the Earth, Sun, and Moon, as well as the human mind, body, and spirit. The braided connection between the two painted figures reflects the profound truth of humanity's bond with the Earth and with one another.

The painted fish on the back serves as a reminder of the ocean—one of the original sources of life—and the neglect it has suffered at the hands of our so-called "evolved" species.
The vessel contrasts humanity's so-called "evolved" state, depicted on the front, with its "un-evolved" origins as sea-dwelling creatures, illustrated on the back. This juxtaposition underscores the arc of our evolution and invites reflection on our journey as a species.
